Improving, managing and protecting your wealth.

Everything Fogwill & Jones Wealth Management do is dedicated to improving, managing and protecting your wealth. We align our expertise with your individual needs, putting you at the heart of everything we do. Just as in all aspects of your life, setting financial goals allows us to track your progress towards achieving your objectives.

Before you can begin to define your own financial plans, it is essential you first prioritise the objectives to establish which is most important to you. Then you have a strong foundation to decide what you choose to do with your money. This will also help you identify the most appropriate savings, investment, retirement, protection, later life care, tax and estate planning strategies to ensure you succeed as far as possible.

Short Term

Where the objective is short term, such as buying a new car or the next family holiday, deposit based investment is almost always the most prudent approach. If the capital is needed in a short time period of one to three years, it is not wise to invest in equity based solutions. There would be a possibility that the capital value could be reduced over the short term. Security of capital is more important because there will be little time to make up any potential losses.

Medium Term

Where the objective is medium term, equity based investments will likely be the most advantageous form of investment, however, due to the fluctuations associated with this approach, where capital/income is required for say university fees, converting the right amount to cash at the right time is something we have the necessary experience to deal with.

Long Term

Where the objective is long term, the investment time span is typically five years and over. Clearly, the longer time span until the investment is needed, the more likely that equity based investments will be suitable. It may be possible to take a more speculative approach, with care being taken to ensure that any life changing events create a risk tolerance review to ensure any change to the degree of security that is required is reflected in the portfolios objectives.

Our friendly, experienced team of Financial Advisers take great care in establishing your objectives and ensure you fully understand the nature of any risks towards investments.
